NEW DELHIÂ
Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is preparing to launch its next-generation device, the Vivo V60 5G, in India in the coming weeks, according to multiple reports. The upcoming handset, which follows the Vivo S30 series and is widely expected to be a rebranded model for the Indian market, has had its full specifications, color options, and pricing details leaked ahead of the official announcement.
According to Hindustan Times, the Vivo V60 launch date in India is expected in early August 2025. The smartphone is set to feature a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, a 120Hz AMOLED display, and a substantial 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. Vivo is also equipping the device with ZEISS optics, promising enhanced imaging capabilities including up to 100x camera zoom, a notable upgrade over its predecessor, the Vivo V50.
Design and Features
Reports suggest that the Vivo V60 design will come with an IP68 and IP69 rating, making it water- and dust-resistant. The device is tipped to launch in three color variants: Auspicious Gold, Moonlit Blue, and Mist Grey. The phone’s camera system is expected to deliver flagship-level photography performance, leveraging ZEISS technology for improved clarity and low-light imaging.
India TV News noted that Vivo has retained much of the design philosophy from its Vivo S30, but the V60 will include enhanced hardware to meet the growing demand for high-performance 5G smartphones in the region.
Pricing and Market Impact
While the official price has not yet been confirmed, sources cited by Good Returns indicate that the Vivo V60 expected price in India will likely start around ₹42,000. This positions the device as a premium mid-range offering, directly competing with similar models from Samsung, Xiaomi, and OnePlus.
The phone’s upcoming release comes as Vivo looks to strengthen its foothold in India’s 5G smartphone market. Industry analysts expect strong early demand, especially among users seeking a balance of performance, camera quality, and battery life.
With leaks already revealing much of the Vivo V60 specifications, including its 90W charging and long-lasting battery, Vivo is poised to make a significant impact with its latest device. The company has yet to officially confirm the Vivo V60 India launch date, but teasers and supply chain reports suggest the unveiling is imminent.
